Queensland tradies are the most expensive in the country

According to serviceseeking.com.au, Queensland is now more expensive than Western Australia to hire tradespeople.

The average cost of renovating in Queensland has increased by 7.5% in September compared to September 2013.

This comes from findings of research sampling over 58,000 people which showed tilers are 1.9% were more expensive in September this year compared to September last year.

The most notable price rises occurred in concreting, which saw an 11.5% increase in the per hour rate.

Landscaping increased by 9.2%, while painting fell 2.3% and plumbing fell 1.5%.

On average, hourly wages of tradies in Queensland was $63.14 - 6.4% more expensive than the national average of 2.4%. 

Western Australia's average hourly rate fell 2.8% from $64.12 to $62.32.
