Police seek information on gun-wielding child

POLICE are asking for information after receiving a report of a boy "behaving strangely" at Apex Park on Monday night.

Rumours of a boy chasing other children with a gun initially surfaced when a woman posted a warning to a Kingaroy Facebook group. The post said the children who were chased did not know if the gun was real or not.

The post has since been deleted.

Kingaroy Police officer in charge Senior Sergeant Duane Frank said police received a call "about a kid behaving strangely at the park" but did not see any strange behaviour when officers showed up.

Snr Sgt Frank asked anyone with information to phone the station on 4160 4900 or phone Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
