THE Roma-based Surat Gas Aero-Medical Service (SGAS) helicopter has airlifted a man in his mid-30s after a single vehicle accident in an area East of Roma yesterday.

The man had become trapped inside the truck he was driving after it rolled over.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crew from Roma freed the man from the vehicle at the scene.

The CareFlight Doctor on board the SGAS helicopter treated the man on-site for suspected head and leg injuries.

He was then flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
