Skip bins fall off truck closing busy SEQ road

TWO skip bins piled with rubbish have fallen off a truck on a busy Gold Coast road, blocking all lanes of traffic.

Laden with what appears to be construction scraps and materials, the truck rounded the corner of Southport Nerang Road and Currumburra Road in Ashmore just after 9am this morning.

Two skip bins it was carrying came off the truck, spilling its contents across all four lanes of traffic and blocking traffic in both directions.

No one is believed to be injured.

Police and tow truck operators are currently on scene.
