Tracks between Caboolture and Northgate closed this weekend

BUSES will replace trains between Caboolture and Northgate stations on the weekend as improvement works are made to the tracks.

From the first service on Saturday, October 24 until the last service on Sunday, October 25 tracks will be closed between Northgate and Caboolture stations.

Buses will replace trains in both directions between both stations.

Affected stations include:

  • Northgate
  • Virginia
  • Sunshine
  • Geebung
  • Zillmere
  • Carseldine
  • Bald Hills
  • Strathpine
  • Bray Park
  • Lawnton
  • Petrie
  • Dakabin
  • Narangba
  • Burpengary
  • Morayfield
  • Caboolture

Passengers travelling on the last Caboolture service on Friday evening, departing Roma Street at 1.03am (Saturday Morning) will terminate at Northgate station at 1.26am and transfer to a rail replacement bus service for all stations to Caboolture.

Improvement works during this time include:

  • Moreton Bay Rail Link construction
  • Overhead maintenance Carseldine to Strathpine
  • Signalling upgrade Morayfield to Caboolture
  • Bridge maintenance Bald Hills to Strathpine and Dakabin
  • Track maintenance

Train services will return to normal from the first service on Monday, October 26.
