Two hurt after collision leaves ute on its roof

UPDATE: Two people have been taken to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition after a collision between a light truck and tray-back ute in Newtown.

Queensland Ambulance crews transported the driver and passenger in the truck while the driver of a red ute left resting on its roof escaped the crash uninjured.

The ute driver climbed from the overturned vehicle before emergency services arrived at the crash scene at the corner of Mort and Jellicoe Sts about 4pm.

3.50PM: Emergency services are rushing to reports a truck and car have collided in North Toowoomba.

Initial reports suggest the vehicles collided at the intersection of Mort and Jellicoe Sts outside the Great Northern Hotel.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services are en route to the collision scene.
