Truck rolls on Bruce Hwy, extensive delays

UPDATE 4.55PM: The Bruce Highway has descended into chaos after a truck has careered off the road and down an embankment.

A Queensland Ambulance Spokeswoman confirmed that paramedics attended but the one patient on scene refused treatment and transport to hospital.

Gloved police were seen searching a man at the scene near the prime mover.

A Queensland Police spokesman said clearing the scene could take hours.

One lane is currently open, which is already causing extensive delays.

Clayton's Towing are on scene, preparing to extricate the truck from the bushland on the roadside.

EARLIER: Emergency services are on their way to a truck rollover that is blocking parts of the Bruce Hwy.

The crash occurred about 3.45pm and is located near the Bribie Island Rd overpass at Beerburrum.

There is heavy traffic congestion already near the scene of the crash, which is blocking one of the northbound lanes.
