Truckin' on the Border: Craig Foran

LOADED up and running the Hume with a load of Ben Furney's flour was Rod Pilon Transport driver Craig Foran.

Craig was at the helm of a Kenworth T403 with Cummins ISX 450 providing the motive power, which was hooked up to a B-Double tautliner trailer set.

Craig has been with Rod Pilon for the last three months after a stint on tippers, running locally around the Sunshine Coast, and was enjoying the longer-distance running.

"I got sick of running around town, so thought I would get back on the highway."

He carries dog food, flour and general freight, and runs between Brisbane and Melbourne, usually up the Newell via Pilon's headquarters at Dubbo.

Craig started out in transport ten years ago in a 12-tonne rigid transporting shop fittings before upgrading to his HC licence, and has covered a fair slab of the country including doing two-up to Perth, with his favourite trek running north out of Brisbane.

Craig enjoys a spot of four-wheel driving in his down time.
