UPDATE: Moreton Bay Regional Council vote count heats up

WHILE Moreton Bay Mayor Allan Sutherland has already accumulated enough votes to be re-elcted for another term, some council positions are still undecided heading into the pre-poll count.

The closest race is in Division Three where Adam Hain leads on 35.36% of the 12,215 votes in front of Kimberly James who has 31.46%.

Meanwhile Brooke Savige looks to be in the box seat to take out Division One with 48.47% of 11,632 votes ahead of Paul Whyte on 27.43%.

Councillor Peter Flannery looks very likely to retain his position in Division Two with 52.8% of 14,174 votes with Rodney Hansen trailing on 29.72%.

But things could easily change as all divisions are roughly halfway through their vote counts.

More to come.
