Van deliberately rams police car on Pademelon Pass

A MAN is currently assisting police with their investigations into an incident where a police vehicle was rammed at Mount Nathan early this morning.

Around 1.50am police patrolling in a marked police vehicle on Pademelon Pass observed a van stopped at the side of the road.

When the officers stopped in front of the parked van it allegedly drove forwards and deliberately collided with them before driving away.

The officers were not injured and remained at the scene in their damaged vehicle.

The van was located a short distance away.  The Dog Squad attended and located a man nearby and took him into custody without incident.

Police have allegedly located drugs, knuckle-dusters and property suspected of being stolen in the van.
Investigations are continuing.
