What it takes to burn off your favourite fast food

HAVE you ever bitten into a Big Mac or wolfed down a pack of sushi at lunch and wondered how much exercise it would take to burn off what you've just eaten?

Eating fast food and getting enough exercise to in may seem like a tricky balancing act to counter weight gain.

But you may be surprised to learn some of the most likely suspects are not actually the worst offenders when it comes to their calorie count.

Compare The Market has revealed the total calories of popular fast food meals and how much running, walking, swimming or yoga is required to work them off, assuming a person's weight is at 78 kilograms.

If you've ever wondered how McDonald's compares to Burger King, a Big Mac with fries is a better choice than a BK Whopper.

The McDonald's burger will take two and a half hours of yoga whereas the Whopper would see you moving through sun salutations for three hours and ten minutes.

Here's a breakdown of how much exercise it takes to burn off the calories of some of your favourite fast foods.
