5.55PM: POLICE are investigating after a woman was assaulted at an Allenstown residence early this morning.

Initial investigations indicate around 5am a woman was sitting in an open area under her residence in Murray Street.

The woman went to investigate a noise in her laundry before she blacked out.

The 43-year-old woman was treated at the scene for grazing to the side of her head.

Investigations are continuing with police appealing for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact Crime Stoppers.

10.30am: POLICE are still at the scene were a woman was allegedly assaulted by an intruder overnight.

Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed they did attend the address this morning, but did not transport anyone.

  • She believes she was attacked by an intruder
  • Her teenager daughter called emergency services this morning after the woman woke up

9AM: SCENES of Crime have been directed to attend an Allenstown home where an alleged attack occurred overnight.

Reports indicate a woman in her 40s has woken up on her laundry floor, shirt torn, with mud on her and believes she was hit on the head by an intruder overnight.

8.05am: POLICE have been called to a south Rockhampton house where a woman thinks she was attacked by an intruder last night.

The woman in her 40s has woken up on her laundry floor with torn clothes, mud on her and thinks she has been hit on the head.

She asked her teenage daughter to call police, who are now en route to the Allenstown home.
