Woman punched, dragged to the ground at Mount Pleasant home

A WOMAN was punched in the face and dragged to the ground by her hair by another woman in an alleged incident of road rage at Mount Pleasant, police have said.

The incident occurred at a Whistler Way residence about 10.10pm last night.

Police said an unknown man and woman travelling in a white Nissan Pulsar followed a woman to the residence where a verbal altercation took place.

The female occupant of the Pulsar then punched the other woman in the face and dragged her to the ground by her hair when she attempted to photograph the Pulsar.

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate the man and woman who they believe were involved in the assault.

The occupants of the Pulsar are described as a man of Islander appearance, about 185cm tall, of heavy build with brown hair, unshaven and wearing a grey and brown shirt and 3/4 length shorts.

The woman is described as being of Islander appearance, heavy build with dark brown hair.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
